Werribee man hospitalised after Spotswood collision

A 24-year-old Werribee man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision in Spotswood on Thursday, December 12.

Police said the man, who was riding a motorcycle, was struck by two trucks on the West Gate Freeway, near the Williamstown Road exit about 4.30pm.

According to police, officers have been told the motorcyclist was attempting to lane filter between the trucks when the collision occurred.

Police said one truck driver stopped at the scene, while the other did not and was last seen travelling west bound on the freeway.

The collision caused major traffic disruptions in the area for several hours, according to police.
