A Werribee man has been charged following an alleged assault at Richmond Station on Wednesday, where a woman was pushed onto train tracks.
A 64-year-old woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries when she was pushed from a platform and onto train tracks below about 3,50 pm on July 3.
It’s believed she was helped from the tracks by members of the public and train network staff before being taken to hospital.
A 54-year-old Werribee man was arrested by police in Southbank on Thursday morning and later charged with conduct endangering life, conduct endangering serious injury, reckless conduct causing injury and unlawful assault of a female.
He has also been charged with several unrelated offences including burglary, theft, aggravated burglary, trespassing, unlawful assault and making threats to kill.
The further charges relate to alleged burglaries in Footscray on May 10 and June 22 and an alleged aggravated burglary in Southbank on July 4.
He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on July 12.
