Police are investigating a hit and run collision which occurred in Werribee on Tuesday 28 October.
Investigators have been told a man and a woman were crossing Watton Street, near the intersection of Duncans Road, at about 9pm.
As they were crossing they were struck by a blue sedan which was being driven in a north-east direction.
The driver failed to stop at the scene after the collision and is yet to be identified.
A passer-by saw the two injured people on the road and went to their aid.
A 33-year-old Point Cook man and a 31-year-old Wyndham Vale woman suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital.
