Warringa Reserve upgrades

Wyndham council has announced that the next stage of improvements planned for Warringa Crescent in Hoppers Crossing is about to begin.

Construction will commence in the coming weeks on a new picnic area and shelter, additional bench seating, more trees and garden beds.

Also included in the design are realigned footpaths for easier movement through the reserve, and a new drinking fountain with a dog bowl.

This will build on the stage one enhancement works that were completed last year to revamp the area around the car park by adding vegetation, improving signage and refreshed line marking.

These works are part of a broader vision outlined in the Woodville Place Plan, adopted by council in 2024.

The plan focuses on creating stronger links between key local destinations – in this case, improving the connection between Warringa Crescent Reserve and Woodville Park Shopping Centre, enhancing car park safety, and lifting the overall look and feel of the reserve.

The reserve has a range of bookable spaces, to cater for activities including sporting events, fitness classes, community meetings and educational classes.

According to council, the changes are small but will make the reserve more liveable.

The facility provides indoor and outdoor spaces which are accessible to participants of all ages and abilities.
