Two new school sites for Wyndham

Land for two future primary schools in Manor Lakes and Werribee has been purchased by the state government.

Education Minister James Merlino said the government has bought land at Holyoake Parade, Manor Lakes and at Shipwright Parade, Werribee for the future schools.

The Manor Lakes school will have space for 650 pupils when it opens in 2023.

The Werribee school, which is due to open the same year, will have space for 525 pupils.

The state government did not say how much it spent on each school site.

Werribee MP Tim Pallas welcomed the news, saying that he was “excited” that children in the Manor Lakes and Werribee communities would have the opportunity “to attend a brand-new school with first-rate facilities”.
