Two from Tarneit arrested following chase

A 23-year-old Tarneit man, and a 17-year-old Tarneit boy are assisting police with inquiries.

Four people, including two from Tarneit, have been arrested following a pursuit in the western suburbs.

Police were called to a suspicious vehicle in Keilor Downs at about 6.50pm yesterday, March 18.

An allegedly stolen Jeep was spotted but drove off before it could be intercepted.

The Jeep was then seen driving erratically along the Western Ring Road.

Police attempted to intercept the vehicle but stopped due to safety concerns.

The Jeep was followed to Tarneit where it was allegedly dumped and two occupants got into a silver Holden Commodore with two men already onboard.

Police were able to follow the vehicle and deployed stop sticks, and arrested the occupants.

A 23-year-old Tarneit man, a 17-year-old Tarneit boy and a 22-year-old and 19-year-old man are assisting police with inquiries.
