Two arrested after Point Cook aggravated burglary

Police have arrested two men following an aggravated burglary in Point Cook this morning, during which two residents were allegedly assaulted.

Investigators have been told two men broke into a residence on Ladybird Drive, Point Cook about 1.25am.

A male and female occupant of the house were assaulted before the home invaders stole cash, phones a computer and a BMW.

The occupants of the house suffered upper body injuries and were taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.

The stolen BMW crashed on Sandy Point Road in Little River.

Two men were arrested a short time later.

A 20-year-old Point Cook man and a 21-year-old Tarneit man are assisting police with their inquiries and are expected to be charged with home invasion, theft of motor vehicle and assault-related matters,.
