Two roads have been closed following separate truck rollovers.

Three of the four outbound lanes of the Princes Freeway in Laverton are closed to Point Cook Road, following a truck rollover.

In another incident, a truck has rolled on Dohertys Road, Laverton North, closing the road to outbound traffic at Fitzgerald Road.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics attended the Laverton North incident around 10.50am and assessed one person, but they were not taken to hospital.

The Department of Transport has issued an alert asking drivers to follow the directions of emergency services and traffic controllers, and to plan to use Boundary or Leakes roads instead.

To avoid getting caught in the freeway delays, motorists should exit at the earliest opportunity.

Drivers may consider using the M80 Ring Road and Boundary Road to the north, with access to the outbound lanes of the Princes Freeway freeway available from Forsyth Road.

A detour south of the freeway uses Grieve Parade into Altona, returning to the freeway from Point Cook Road.

Lanes are likely to remain closed for some time as crews work to clear both incidents.

VicRoads signal engineers are monitoring conditions on surrounding roads and will adjust signals where possible to minimise delays.

Real-time traffic conditions are available at traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au or via the VicTraffic mobile app.
