Photos: Truck flipped over on Werribee lawn

A man in his early 20s is facing charges after his vehicle collided with a truck this morning.

The driver was traveling Werribee-bound on Bulban Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign at around 9.10am.

He plowed into the side of a truck, flipping it on its side and into the front yard of a home. The truck then hit a car parked outside the home.

Westgate Highway Patrol leading senior constable Ray Schembri said speed was believed to be a factor in the incident.

He said the driver of the car had been taken to Werribee Mercy for observation, and the truck driver was uninjured.

Leading senior constable Schembri said the driver was facing charges including failure to stop at a stop sign.

The road was closed for an hour until the site was cleared.

More to come…
