A person who has tested positive to COVID-19 travelled on the Werribee and Williamstown train lines on Wednesday and Thursday last week.

The two train lines have been listed on the Department of Health and Human Services “Case alerts – public exposure sites” online list today.

People who have been on the train lines within the relevant timeframes, who display possible virus symptoms during the next 14 days, have been advised to get tested immediately.

The passenger with COVID-19 travelled on trains between Yarraville, North Melbourne and Glenroy – on the Craigieburn, Werribee and Williamstown lines – between 6-6.45am and 1.15-2pm on Wednesday, October 21.

A person with the virus also travelled on the same route, at the same times, on Thursday, October 22.

According to the DHHS, this does not mean that there is an ongoing risk associated with the train lines or stations, and you can safely visit the site in line with current restrictions.

The locations were identified during contact tracing.
