Tough lesson for school zone speedster

Westgate highway patrol have impounded a car after it was caught doing 101 km/h in a 40 km/h school zone at Point Cook yesterday afternoon.

Police observed the Audi TT along Boardwalk Boulevard around 3pm.

The car was intercepted and a 22-year-old Point Cook man will be summonsed for speeding dangerously, exceeding the speed limit, failing to display P plates and driving with a suspended P2 licence. He was fined $917 and will face Werribee Magistrate’s Court at a later date.

The driver’s car was impounded for one month.
