Three charged following Tarneit home invasion

Three men have been charged following an alleged aggravated home invasion in Tarneit on November 30.

Police believe the men allegedly forced entry into the house at about 4am on November 30, and ransacked the property before they were interrupted by two residents who were subsequently stabbed.

A 37-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two search warrants were executed at residential addresses in Harkness on the evening of November 30.

A 17-year-old from Albion, a 16-year-old from Harkness and an 18-year-old East Melbourne man, were charged with aggravated home invasion.

All will reappear before court at a later date.

Police believe the incident was targeted and is a result of escalating tensions between male youths.

The investigation remains ongoing.
