Three males have been arrested following two armed robberies and a pursuit in Werribee on Tuesday.
Police have been told two offenders armed with a machete entered a business on Watton Street in Werribee just after 9am.
It is believed they demanded cash, which was handed over and fled the scene in a stolen vehicle.
A short time later the same offenders attended a business on Cottrell Street and one male entered the store armed with the machete. Cash and alcohol were stolen.
The offenders then fled the scene in the stolen grey Hyundai hatch and a pursuit was initiated.
The vehicle was pursued through Werribee and terminated on the Princes Freeway near Duncans Road in Werribee.
The offenders then lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pole on Ascot Vale Road in Moonee Ponds just before 10.30am.
Two teenage boys and a 20-year-old man were arrested.
One offender was taken to hospital and the other two are currently in custody.
