The Hoppers Club is giving a Wyndham health service a helping hand. Club chairman Frank Aidone presented Werribee Mercy Hospital’s palliative care unit with a cheque for $6500, which will be spent on revamping the unit’s courtyard, new chairs for visitors and items for the family kitchen. Mr Aidone said the Hoppers Club raised the money through a weekly raffle every Tuesday during the past year. “We’ve always been involved with the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal and we thought we should help out a bit closer to home,” he said.
