Police have charged four teenagers following two alleged carjackings in Werribee last month.
It is alleged a group of offenders ordered a rideshare on Mantello Drive on August 16 at about 2.15am.
The group allegedly approached the rideshare driver with machetes and stole a mobile phone and the white MG station wagon before fleeing.
The driver was not injured.
Hours later, another rideshare driver attended Una Court to pick up a passenger at about 4.10am.
It’s alleged a group of offenders got into the vehicle, assaulted the victim and fled in the car.
The driver sustained a minor cut from the incident.
The Honda CRV was located later that day in Hawk Court in Werribee at about 12.50pm.
The white MG station wagon was later recovered on Honor Avenue in Wyndham Vale on 21 August.
Detectives have since arrested two 14-year-old boys, and two 17-year-old boys, all from the Wyndham area, and they were each charged with two counts of aggravated carjacking.
They were all bailed to appear before the Children’s Court at a later date.
