Teens arrested over thefts

Wyndham police have arrested two teenagers, aged 13 and 15 years old, in relation thefts of and from motor vehicles.
Around 3pm on January 20, police responded to reports of two youths who were allegedly driving erratically on a quad bike and motorbike in the Wyndham Vale area.
Further investigation led to the recovery of three allegedly stolen vehicles and the quad bike. Some of the vehicles were allegedly stolen from farms located in the Werribee South area.
Between them, the two male youths were charged with careless driving, four counts of theft from a motor vehicle, one count of attempted theft from a motor vehicle, one attempted theft of a motor vehicle, and theft of a motor vehicle.
One of the youths was also charged with committing an indictable offence while on bail.
The 15-year-old has been released pending summons.
The 13-year-old was bailed to face a children’s court at a later date.
