Teenager bashed and robbed in Point Cook

A teenage boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being allegedly bashed and robbed in Point Cook on Tuesday.

Police have been told the 16-year-old was walking through a group of shops on Saltwater Promenade, Point Cook when he was approached by six to eight teenagers about 3.35pm.

It is believed the teenagers made demands for his phone and assaulted him, before fleeing on foot.

The parties are believed to be known to each other.
