Teen charged after Tarneit home invasion

Police have charged a teenager following an aggravated home invasion in Tarneit last month.

During the Habitat Court home invasion, which occurred on August 17, a 34-year-old woman sustained facial injuries and her Hyundai sedan was stolen.

Today at about 7.45am, detectives executed a search warrant at a Tarneit house. A 17-year-old boy was arrested and has been charged with aggravated home invasion, theft of motor vehicle, theft, possessing the proceeds of crime and trafficking a drug of dependence.

The teen is currently appearing before a Children’s Court.

In addition, a 18-year-old Werribee man and another 17-year-old Tarneit male were arrested on Monday, September 3 in relation to the incident, and have been released pending further enquiries.
