Teen charged after alleged stabbing in Manor Lakes

Police are investigating two alleged stabbings and an alleged affray at a Manor Lakes shopping centre on Thursday night.

Police said they believe a group of about 10 males were involved in an alleged brawl at a Ballan Road shopping complex about 6.30pm.

A 16-year-old boy with suspected stab wounds to his upper body was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

After one of the males who was allegedly involved in the affray left the scene, he was confronted by a group of males.

The man, 18, was allegedly stabbed in his lower body and was assaulted with a frying pan.

The man was taken to hospital under police guard, with non-life-threatening injuries.

A short time later, police arrested a 16-year-old boy in Buloke Avenue.

He has been charged with various offences including affray, violent disorder, possess controlled weapon and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

He has been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incidents.

Anyone with information or CCTV is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit an online report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
