An architect has been appointed to design the final stage of Tarneit Senior College’s capital works, which will allow the school to enrol hundreds of new students.
Tarneit MP Sarah Connolly last week announced that Workshop Architecture Pty Ltd has been chosen for the project, which will be completed under the school’s $5.80 million final stage of development.
The upgrade will see a new classroom wing built, allowing the school to offer places to an extra 300 local students.
In the past seven years, the state government has invested more than $10.9 billion in building new schools and more than 1700 school upgrades.
“Our classrooms already have some of the best teachers, and now we’re making sure they also have the best facilities to give every child the best chance to succeed,” Ms Connolly said.
