Police arrest man in Tarneit

Police have arrested a man in relation to a series of burglaries, assaults on police and other crimes across the west, including a burglary at a Deer Park panel beaters on July 9.

A 32-year-old man was arrested at a house in Tarneit on Wednesday.

An allegedly stolen car was recovered at the property.

The man was charged with four counts of burglary, five counts of theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of arson, four counts of handling stolen goods, two counts of assaulting police, two counts of intentionally ramming a police vehicle and three counts of evading police.

He was remanded in custody.

Police are still searching for two other men who were allegedly involved in the Deer Park burglary.
