Wyndham residents are invited to swing into the Plaza library at Pacific Werribee for a musical showcase.
Vocalist Georgia Brooks (pictured) and her “swingtet” will perform a free show from 7pm on Friday, with refreshments provided.
Attendees have been promised everything from rip-roaring swing dance music to more subdued and sentimental tunes.
Wyndham learning city portfolio holder Josh Gilligan said live jazz was not the only event on offer at the area’s libraries, with one-on-one IT help, children’s craft sessions, Lego clubs and artist talks also on the agenda this month.
“The Julia Gillard Library in Tarneit will also host chess lessons for teenagers with high-ranking player Tim Broome on Friday, 14th July,” Cr Gilligan said.
