Around 50 firefighters attended a suspicious grass and scrub fire in Truganina yesterday.
The Hoppers Crossing Fire Brigade, along with a Mount Cottrell Group Field Operations Vehicle, Fire Rescue Victoria and CFA appliances were called in to lend support, after initial crews arrived on the scene around 5.30pm.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also attended.
According to a post on the Hoppers Crossing Fire Brigade Facebook page, the fire picked up momentum in an open grassy reserve and spread in a northerly direction towards Clovelly Crescent.
The fire was declared under control within around 30 minutes of the initial crews attending the blaze.
Fortunately, there was no injuries or damage to property reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and is being treated as suspicious.
