If you’ve got a friendly smile and a dedication to keeping kids and families safe, you might consider a career as a crossing supervisor.

Wyndham council director city operations Stephen Thorpe, said the council is always on the search for new casual School Crossing Supervisors, more commonly known as lollipop people.

“We like to ensure we are able to cover and run the 160 crossings we have across the Wyndham municipality to keep children safe outside the school gates,” Mr Thorpe said.

“Our School Crossing Supervisors provide a friendly and approachable source of safety outside schools for all pedestrians but particularly our school children of Primary and Secondary school age.”

Mr Thorpe said people can head to the Wyndham council website under the ‘Careers’ section to lodge an application with the council to apply for a job as a Casual School Crossing Supervisor.

“We are looking for people who love to support the community and enjoy being a friendly face for our children for the 65 school campuses we have in the municipality,” he said.
