Sucking it up fur charity

If you’re a pet owner, you’d be familiar with your pooch or feline moulting fur all over the tiles, carpet and furniture. This month, Harvey Norman Hoppers Crossing is donating $5 to the Lost Dogs Home for each Electrolux vacuum cleaner sold.

Store owner Angelo Augustus said the promotion was a natural fit for the brand, which has a good reputation for picking up pet hair.

It’s the first time the business has raised money for the not-for-profit animal welfare organisation, which cares for lost and unwanted dogs and cats.
