Stolen goods, weapons seized in Werribee

A 26-year-old Werribee man will have his day in court after police seized a number of allegedly stolen goods, weapons and drugs from his property last week.

Wyndham police said a search at the man’s Hooker Road premises on August 1 uncovered a stolen 2013 BMW 118D with stolen plates, a stolen iPad, about three grams of amphetamines and a number of weapons, including a Taser, extendable baton, imitation firearm, shot gun cartridges and a meat cleaver.

The man was charged with theft of motor vehicle, theft from motor vehicle, possess a drug of dependence and weapons charges relating to a Taser and firearm.

He will appear before the Werribee Magistrates Court on December 20.
