Fine food lovers are invited to a Winemakers Dinner at Werribee Park.
The event, to be hosted at Lancemore Mansion Hotel next Tuesday, will consist of a four-course menu created by acclaimed executive chef David Green and a variety of cool-climate wines of the Bellarine Peninsula.
Chef Green trained at one, two and three Michelin star restaurants in Europe.
Game and wild foods will feature on the menu accompanied by breads, pickles and preserves made fresh.
“We’re looking forward to showcasing two regions on the night, with the dinner featuring produce from our local area, and pairing it with the Scotchmans Hill wines which are produced on the Bellarine Peninsula,” he said.
Guests will enjoy canapes under the arches of the Mansion before sitting down to a dinner of Moreton Bay bug grilled over embers, rabbit ‘brik’ and Yarra Valley quail.
There will also be an opportunity to meet with both Chef Green and Scotchmans Hill’s head winemaker Robin Brockett,
“The Winemaker’s Dinner is the perfect time for us to showcase our wines, as we recently celebrated our highest ever number of wines rated 94 points or above in the 2020 Halliday Wine Companion, which we’re delighted about,” Mr Brockett said.
The Winemakers Dinner on November 12 will start at 6.30pm.
