The upgrade of Truganina’s Aquarius Street Reserve is complete.
Improvements including an upgraded kick-about space, expanded path network, new
BBQs, upgraded park furniture and new bike hoops are now available for members of the public to use.
Patrons will notice new toilets, more nature play and rubber softball areas and more garden beds and trees too.
Wyndham councillor Peter Maynard, said the upgraded Aquarius Street Reserve would help promote increased community usage and encourage longer stays.
“By expanding and upgrading the park’s offering, we’ve improved the accessibility,
functionality and quality of this well-loved community asset,” Cr Maynard said.
“This upgrade elevates Aquarius Street Reserve to a district level park, meaning it
now caters not only for Truganina residents but also the wider Wyndham
community. It was great to see the community get involved and provide their feedback on how
they use Aquarius Street Reserve and the inclusions they wanted to see as part of
this upgrade.”
The work done to Aquarius Street Reserve is part of broader series of upgrades to reserves, parks and open spaces in Wyndham to cater for continued population growth.
