Wanted: animal lovers keen to give one (or more) of these pups a good home.
These eight-week-old Staffy cross puppies are looking for their forever home after a local resident surrendered them to the Wyndham council pound last week.
The resident, who surrendered seven pups, was unaware that the pups’ mother hadn’t been desexed and was incapable of re-homing the pups herself.
One of the puppies has already been adopted. Now, Wyndham council and the Western Suburbs Cat and Kitten Rescue have joined forces to find homes for the remaining six.
The puppies have since been fully vaccinated, desexed, microchipped, vet checked and had their worming and flea treatments.
Nathan Miles from Western Suburbs Cat and Kitten Rescue said prospective owners had to commit to obedience training and puppy school before adopting any of the puppies.
“We’re looking for the puppies to go to responsible homes,” he said.
Mr Miles said this case was a prime example of why desexing pets was so important.
The pups will be adopted out for $550 each.
