St Vincent’s Private open day this weekend

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee is opening its doors this weekend for a sneak peek at Wyndham’s newest health care provider.

Locals will have the chance to take tours of the hospital – including facilities and areas that they would never usually see – this Sunday from midday to 4pm as part of the hospital’s community open day.

The event will also include information stations for those interested in job opportunities, volunteering, maternity bookings and St Vincent’s care services; a sausage sizzle and coffee van; and face-painting, glitter tattoos and balloonists for the kids.

Construction on the $95 million hospital started in 2015. Once opened the hospital will have three operating theatres, a maternity ward and special-care nursery and a cardiac catheter laboratory. It will include orthopaedics, urology and general surgery, ear, nose and throat services, as well as sleep studies, rehabilitation and oncology services.

The hospital will open its doors to patients on January 30, 2018, and will admit its first expecting mothers from late February. An on-site 80-bed aged-care service opened in early June.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee is located at 240 Hoppers Lane, Werribee. For more information, click here
