A speeding motorcyclist clocked at more than double the speed limit in Hoppers Crossing last night, has been arrested.
The police air-wing spotted the Suzuki motorcycle travelling on the Princess Highway at about 8.40pm on June 8.
The police chopper and ground crews then followed the rider who allegedly reached speeds of 230kmh before inadvertently leading them back to his home in Hook Street, Altona Meadows.
The 31-year-old man was arrested and his unregistered Suzuki GSX750 was impounded after being found displaying false number plates.
The man was charged with conduct endangering life, speeding, riding while disqualified and other traffic-related offences.
He was remanded in custody ahead of a court appearance at a later date.
