Man dies after Wyndham Vale smash

UPDATE: An 87-year-old man Hoppers Crossing man has died following Monday’s two-car collision in Wyndham Vale.
The man was among six people, including two children, who were injured when two cars collided head-on along Ballan Road, Wyndham Vale, about 4.15pm.
The deceased and a woman, who is also in her 80s, were trapped in their car for more than an hour before being freed.
The man, believed to be the driver, was flown to Royal Melbourne hospital, where he passed away last night.
Detectives with the major collision investigation unit are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the Wyndham Vale crash. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
