Shopaholics, rejoice! Pacific Werribee is unveiling stage two of its $370 million redevelopment.
The new section – which will include Lorna Jane, Bonds, Connor, Novo, Skechers, Cotton On Body, Rubi Shoes, Valleygirl, Ed Harry, Supre, Australian Geographic, Riot Art and Craft, QBD Books, Coffee Club and Mrs Fields – opens this week.
A new-look Target with a café, digital photo kiosk, clothing alteration service, T-shirt printing station, play zone and “click and collect” shopping service, is one of the big drawcards for stage two.
Last week, shoppers queued for up to two-and-a-half hours to grab bargains at the Hoppers Crossing Target store, which is closing down to make way for the Pacific Werribee outlet.
Graham Terry, chief executive of Pacific Centres, which owns Pacific Werribee, said the centre was thrilled to bring big brands to Wyndham.
“Until now, Werribee locals have had to travel quite some distance to shop in larger retail hubs such as Geelong or Melbourne city – an inconvenient and costly outing for most,” said Mr Terry, adding that even more stores would open in coming months.
Stage three of the redevelopment, which will be unveiled in 2016, will include a two-level, full-line Myer and more than 50 stores.
Pacific Werribee management declined to comment on speculation that H&M will be coming to Pacific Werribee as part of the expansion.
The centre is hosting a four-day festival as part of the stage two grand opening.
