Wyndham Vale Primary administration staff and teachers, Linda, Maria and Monique, excited to win first place.

Three schools in Wyndham will share in $30,000 prize money after winning Pacific Werribee’s ‘Shop for your School’ campaign.

In May and June, customers shopping at participating food retailers at the shopping centre were given the chance to nominate one of 12 local primary schools who could win the cash.

Wyndham Vale Primary School took out the top prize winning $15,000, Cambridge Primary School won second place with $10,000 and Westgrove Primary School earned $5,000, finishing in third.

Wyndham Vale Primary School principal, Sue Seneviratne said she was overjoyed to receive the news that they had won first place and was very thankful for the unexpected bonus for the school.

“Our students are so excited to win this. We are currently surveying them as to what they

would like to spend the money on, because all our fundraising is to make things better for

them,” Ms Seneviratne said.

“We are getting a wide range of responses from books and balls to chickens, a big slide, a

dinosaur and bikes and bike tracks.Of course, two of our favourites were chocolates for

the teachers and a pink car for the principal.

“The Junior School Council will meet to make the final decision.  It will be interesting to see what they deem worthy.”

Pacific Werribee general manager, Ryan Ling said he is thrilled with the communities support throughout the campaign and is grateful for everyone who got involved.

“We are thrilled to have been able to give back to our local schools and witness such pride of place in our communities. Pacific Werribee thanks all 12 school and the families they serve for their involved in the program,” Mr Ling said.

Pacific Werribee also awarded runner up schools a share in $4,500 worth of Pacific Werribee Gift Cards to support future their fundraising endeavours.
