Roadworks planned for sections of Werribee Main Roadhave been rescheduled due to “unfavourable” weather conditions.
Last week, Major Road Projects Victoria has advised motorists that the works would be carried out as part of the Western Roads Upgrade, for 14 nights between September 18 and October 6, 8pm to 6am Sundays to Thursdays.
However, the works have now been rescheduled to take place between Sunday, September 22 and Tuesday, October 8, between 8pm and 6am.
Major Road Projects Victoria has warned motorists they will close sections of the road while they remove existing pavement and lay new asphalt; set detours around work zones during full road closures; and reduce traffic to one lane while carrying out line marking and fix potholes.
Traffic controllers and electronic message signs will be in place to guide drivers, and buses will run as normal.
The Werribee Main Road roadworks works will be completed in two sections: from 70 metres east of Tower Road to Werribee River bridge for eight nights, and Princes Highway to Westleigh Drive (north) for six nights.
