Residents at home in Savana

The first residents of the new Savana estate in Wyndham Vale have moved in.

The Walkeden family, which includes Harley and Hayley and their three children, is the first of about 2000 people expected to take up residence in the new $129 million residential development over the next three years.

“We have lived within Wyndham Vale for the past six years and wanted to buy our first home in the same area to stay close to family and friends,” Mrs Walkeden said. “Savana was the perfect fit for our family as it’s close to everything we need – train and bus stations, Manor Lakes Shopping Centre and local p-12 school for our kids.”

AVID Property Group state general manager Peter Vlitas said welcoming the first residents to Savana was a milestone for the 640-lot community.

“Savana has been years in the making and it is rewarding to finally see our first residents settling in and buyers’ dreams become a reality,” Mr Vlitas said.
