PSO charged

Police have charged a protective services officer (PSO) following a collision in Truganina last year.

The sergeant, from Transit Safety Command, allegedly falsely nominated the driver involved in a collision on 6 October, 2024 while off-duty.

He was charged on summons with attempt to pervert the course of justice and obtain financial advantage by deception.

The 29 year-old was also previously charged with refuse preliminary breath test and careless driving.

He will appear before a court at a later date.

The investigation remains ongoing.
