Prisha is a positive role model

Prisha Nayak has been announced as the One Wyndham recipient for August.

Prisha is a positive role model in Wyndham, actively contributing to the community through her numerous volunteering activities.

Dedicating time to tutor students at Truganina Community Centre, she helps students achieve their best in a positive learning environment.

She also volunteers every Saturday at Baha’i children’s classes, aspiring to encourage positive character development and instil a sense of community.

As the 2024 WynSpeak winner, she has demonstrated her public speaking skills and advocacy for youth empowerment and expression.

Prisha is passionate about raising awareness for environmental sustainability and climate action. She successfully led a school project to raise funds for local environmental initiatives.

She is currently studying VET course – Community Services II. She has an interest in social entrepreneurship and aims to create a sustainable impact through innovative ventures.

“Wyndham City appreciates Prisha’s commitment to the Wyndham community,” said Mayor Jennie Barrera.

One Wyndham recipients are residents aged between 12 to 25 who positively contribute to the Wyndham community and are role models to other young people.

Each month council selects a Wyndham resident to be awarded the ’Young Person of the Month’. Winners are awarded a $300 gift voucher of their choice and other prizes.
