All Melbourne-bound lanes of the Princes Freeway at Werribee have been reopened following a collision this morning.

The freeway was closed to city-bound traffic between the Princes Highway and Duncans Road, Werribee after a truck collided with the Farm Road Bridge at about 10.30am on Friday, September 15.

The single vehicle collision left debris strewn across the freeway and the 50 year old male driver from Wyndham Vale requiring treatment from paramedics.

The lane closures caused extensive delays and congestion before the Princess Freeway’s Little River exit and on roads through Werribee such as the Princes Highway, Werribee Street and Synnot Street, will take some time to ease.

The Department of Transport and Planning has thanked motorists for their patience as crews worked to clear the incident and conduct investigations at the Farm Road overpass.
