Prep enrolments open

Enrolments for the 2026 intake of prep students at Victoria government schools are open.

On Wednesday, Education Minister Ben Carroll announced that enrolment applications were open until Friday, July 25.

This includes enrolments for the 19 new government schools set to open next year.

Mr Carroll encouraged families to begin preparing applications for their preferred local government school, now.

“Planning for your child’s education is exciting – we’re making sure families have the most up-to-date information to enrol their children at our fantastic primary schools,” he said.

“We are building the Education State so every student can access a great local school and a quality education no matter where they live.”

Parents and carers who apply by July 25 will receive offer letters back by Friday, August 8, while applications submitted after the due date will be considered by schools as they are received.
