Police seeking witnesses of Point Cook assault

Werribee police are appealing for witnesses after a 10-year-old boy was assaulted in Point Cook earlier in the week.

Police were told the boy was walking home from school when he stopped at the intersection of Kellerman Drive and Flory Avenue at about 3.15pm on Monday, May 2.

Police say an unknown person rode past the boy on a bike and kicked him in the back before riding away.

The boy feel to the ground and sustained bruises, cuts and swelling to his face, and his iPad was broken.

The attacker was travelling on a black bike detailed with yellow stripes and was wearing a black cap and short.

Investigators are interested in speaking with witnesses or anyone that may have been in the area at the time with dashcam footage.
