Detectives have appealed for information following an armed robbery in Werribee on February 10 this year.
Investigators have been told a security guard was walking through a car park on Cherry Street around 3.40am, when he was approached by a man armed with a screwdriver.
The man shoved the victim to the ground, before making threats and demanding his wallet and the keys to his vehicle.
The victim, a 22-year-old West Footscray man, handed over the items and the offender fled in the stolen vehicle.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
The offender is perceived as having a heavy build and was wearing a black shirt, black shorts and a black cap.
The car, a silver Toyota Camry Altise with the registration 1LA1JR, was last seen travelling west on Market Road.
Police have released images of the stolen car in the hope someone has seen it and can provide details on its whereabouts or the identity of the offender.
