Police investigate Wyndham Vale deaths

Police are hunting for the occupants of three vehicles after two men were killed in a violent attack at a home in Melbourne’s south west.

It’s believed the convoy drove to the Wyndham Vale home at about 2.30 am on Saturday and the two men were shot during a confrontation.

Another man, believed to be in his twenties, suffered injuries to his upper body and was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Investigators have not released any information about the victims or suspects but it’s believed they may have known each other.

“There were two young men certainly at home, minding their own business when this tragic event occurred,” Inspector Chris Murray told reporters on Saturday.

It is not being treated as a random attack.

“We don’t think this was such an incident which is going to affect the broader community in terms of innocent people,” Inspector Murray said.

A woman was also inside the home when the violence erupted.

“I haven’t spoken to her personally but I can imagine, you know, you’ve got two people who have been murdered in your premises (that) would be nothing short of horrific,” Inspector Murray added.

It’s believed a large number of people travelled in the convoy of three cars but there is no description of the vehicles involved.

Anyone with dashcam or information about who was inside is urged to come forward.

Emergency services were called to a stabbing at the Carmichael Drive home about 3am on Saturday but later confirmed a shooting took place.
