Police investigate Point Cook sexual assault

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a teenager was sexually assaulted in Point Cook while walking home from school.

Investigators have been told a 17-year-old Point Cook girl was walking along Spinifex Street about 5.30pm on February 28 when she was approached from behind by an unknown boy on a bicycle who sexually assaulted her before riding off.

Detectives have released CCTV images of a male on a bicycle who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The boy is perceived to be aged in his mid-teens, and was wearing khaki shorts, a blue hooded jumper and Converse shoes.

Anyone who is able to identify the boy or with any other information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
