Six people have been arrested after a Point Cook woman notified authorities about a man allegedly seen in possession of a firearm in Seabrook.
Police said they were told a 41-year-old Point Cook woman was driving along Point Cook Road on Wednesday, October 5, when she observed a white Nissan X-Trail allegedly driving erratically about 10.15am.
The woman pulled over into a bus stop, where the driver of the Nissan got out of his car while allegedly holding a firearm.
The woman then called triple-0 and the Nissan was driven away from the scene.
Police said the Nissan was later found at a property in Eades Street, Laverton, where two women and a man were arrested in the vehicle a short time later.
Two other women were arrested in another vehicle seen leaving the property.
Another man was arrested without incident inside the property, where a firearm was allegedly located.
Nobody was injured, and investigations are ongoing.
