Police appeal for info after stabbing

Police are appealing for public assistance following a stabbing in Hoppers Crossing last week after an alleged altercation between two groups of youths.

Emergency services were called to Mossfiel Reserve off Guinane Avenue, to reports of an injured man about 6.50pm on May 7.

Investigators have been told a group of about six male youths were involved in an altercation with a second group, resulting in a 23-year-old Hoppers Crossing man suffering several stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed or filmed the incident to come forward.
