Point Cook Road and Central Avenue works to start

The Point Cook Road and Central Avenue intersection upgrade is set to start major works on Monday 12 January, beginning with the Princes Freeway entry-ramp.

Crews are set to build a new slip lane from Point Cook Road to the Geelong-bound entry ramp onto the Princes Freeway.

To safely complete these works, this entry ramp will be closed from 10pm each night until early March.

The closures allow crews to install temporary concrete barriers around the works are, start building a new slip lane from Point Cook Road to the entry ramp, install new drainage, kerb, footpaths, and road pavement at the entry ramp

Project crews will also close Point Cook Road northbound between Shane Avenue and Triholm Avenue for two nights from 10pm to 5am on Monday 12 January and Thursday 22 January.

Detours will be in place via Dunnings Road and Palmers Road.
