Point Cook podcast receives national acclaim

A Point Cook business podcast has been named among Australia’s best.

The podcast, #BusinessAddicts, is a finalist in the business and marketing category of the 2018 Australian Podcast Awards, and is up against The Mentor with Mark Bouris and the Small Business Big Marketing Show, which has listeners in 110 different countries.

Presenters and business owners Loren Bartley and Fiona Redding started the fortnightly podcast in 2015 to help fellow business addicts build a business that supports a life they love, rather than a business that controls their life.

Ms Bartley, who has made a career out of social media and online marketing through her business Impactiv8, said she saw the value of podcasting and was keen to get involved.

“We’ve built a really good community around the podcast, as well as listeners who find value in the content that we’re sharing.

“We’re so excited. We see that people are downloading episodes and we see that people are engaging with our private Facebook group and sharing and commenting, but to be named as a finalist is next level.”

Ms Redding, a life coach and founder of The Happiness Hunter, added: “It’s so fun, we just adore doing it and we’re very passionate about it and really enjoy the variety of guests that we’ve got.”

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony next month.
