A Point Cook man has been left reeling after winning the lottery twice at the weekend.
The man, in his 30s. accidentally played the same line of numbers twice in one day, delivering two division one prizes.
“It was about 10pm on Saturday night and I was watching Netflix and I thought the results are probably out,” he said.
Stoked to have won $1.3 million, he began planning how to spend his new-found fortune. Moments later, he decided to check the remaining tickets, and realised he’d won another $1.3 million.
“I thought ‘Holy s**t, so I just won $2.6 million! That’s crazy! I’m definitely getting that Ferrari now!’
“And I’m also going to take some time off work and travel to see the Seven Wonders of the World and find out for myself if they are as wondrous as they say.”
The man said he never finished what he was watching on Netflix, nor did he sleep that night. me selection that turned out to be the best mistake he’d ever made.
“I never usually play the same game twice – it wasn’t intentional, it just happened,” he said.
