A Point Cook man plans to give back to family after winning $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries draw.

The man won the first prize of $100,000 on Tuesday night, with his winning random two numbers purchased online.

The man told a Lotto official on Thursday that he was stunned by the win.

“It’s unreal!” he said.

“Someone called me from The Lott a couple of days ago, but I thought it was a scam – hence the delayed discovery. I was completely over the moon when I first discovered the win.

“I told my parents and my sister straight away. They thought it was a scam too. It’s the first thing that comes to mind because most people aren’t used to winning.”

The man said he planned to give at least 80 per cent of the prize to his parents and sister and would think about what to do with the rest of the prize.

Lucky Lotteries draws are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the jackpot prize will climb for the next draw.
